I am a huge advocate of setting ground-breaking goals and pushing through the tough questions to get you where you want to be. But when I ponder the question, “how you want to feel when you reach that goal?” things begin to shift a bit. I mean, true feelings of desire and soul. Yeah… that’s it. It opens you up, doesn’t it? I love this new way of thinking – it flips the desire inside out and gets you excited about the process of getting there.
If you’ve been reading me for a while, you know I am all about living my Core Desired Feelings; Focused… Shakti… Excited… Creative… YES! Danielle LaPorte literally changed my life this year with her book The Desire Map. It is a guide to creating goals with soul. And January 7th is the day that thousands of groups will be meeting in book stores, homes and online for the world’s biggest book club.
Of course, search through her long list of book club leaders, and you will find me there waiting for you. I will be leading a virtual book club through our Facebook Page, so if you’re currently a fan of Danielle LaPorte and actively reading the book – send me a message with your name, eMail address and your commitment to participate with our group if you’re interested in joining in. (It is very important to only sign up if you are 100% ready to be fully present – I have a long list of women who have expressed their interest). We will commit to an initial 5 weeks to discuss the book, workbook and our CDF’s.
You will be directed to an Event invitation to hold the date, and then a private group link as the meeting time approaches. I have some printables for you and the chapter discussions we’ll be covering, which you will receive a week before the virtual meet-up.
Here is a video of Danielle being interviewed by Marie Forleo {two of my favorite Women} on what the book is, and what it can do for you:
What better way than to connect with a mastermind of women who empower one-another! Bring it on 2014 – this is our year to let our Goddess shine!
Goal setting is key, especially if you are a business owner. I have never quite thought about them from this perspective though. Interesting.

LOL – sounds like a plan!
This sounds great! I wish you the best of luck and turn-out. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to spare at the moment, but it sure sounds like a good read for the near future. New Year, new life, new good! Thanks for sharing this book. 🙂

Thanks Lorelai – it’s going to be a full group, but lots of fun!
Marie Forleo and Danielle LaPorte-that’s a female powerhouse! I love them both! Yes, I’ll join. I’ll have to get the book before then obviously, but I would love to join.

Awesome!! Looking forward to hearing your CDF’s!!
I’ve always enjoyed setting new goals and was thrilled when I accomplished each goal. Now that I’m retired, the goals are still being set and sometimes called “bucket list.”

Good deal 😀
This is a new concept for me but one I think I’d like to explore more! I find my goals change about every 18 months which co-incides with me losing my passion for my current interests – guess I’m still figuring out who I am and what I want to do with the next half of my life 🙂
