Get Organized With A Filofax

The Filofax was originated in the UK and produces leather bound, six ring paper organizers, which became popular in the 80′s.  Similar to the Day-Timer or Franklin Covey brand, they are generally made of better quality and last a very long time.

I first became obsessed with the brand when I stumbled upon other Filo-fiend fans on Pinterest.  The pins drew me in {obviously, being an organizer myself} and also a former fan of the “what’s in your purse” fad – I was hooked.  I quickly learned that I wasn’t alone, and found myself drooling over the different shapes, colors, sizes and all of the goodies that were added to them.  Before I knew it, I had one picked out & ordered – Filofax shipped it free of charge and it arrived the next day!  Then came the shopping spree on Amazon and in Staples, to find the coolest accessories for blinging out my new toy.  Suddenly my old Day-Timer was boring and out-dated.  Watch out “big red” there’s a new muse in town :)

This is “Big Red”

I don’t know about you, but I have tried to embrace the whole digital planning movement.  My iPhone is with me at all times, but I have failed miserably at allowing it to organize my life.  I am a visual planner and I think best on paper.  So once I got it all together, it literally turned me around.  I am so excited to open it up and see what my “To do’s” are today… where I am with my goals… what is coming up this week.

My Pinterest and Instagram have exploded, and I am so happy that my passion has inspired others.  I thought it would be fun to do a series of posts on setting up a paper planner {not just the Filofax – this can be a guide for any kind of planner}.   I have links to free print ables for your planner and ideas on how to mack it out, so stay tuned and prepare to be inspired.

(Note – I am not affiliated with Filofax or paid to endorse their products in any way)
